Happy February!

I can’t believe it is already February! I happen to love this month–and not just because it is the month of love (although that doesn’t hurt). There just seems to be so many fun things you can do during this month, and having small children at home, all of the crafts and activities seem that much more exciting. My absolute favorite site for ideas for Valentine’s Day and just the month in general? Make and Takes of course.

If you have not seen this site, you are in for a treat! I mean seriously, could this or this or this be any cuter for Valentine’s Day? I’m not sure they could. And this looks absolutely delicious. I’m pretty positive we will be making that at our house this coming week. Yum!

Are any of you already a fan of Make and Takes? Also, what Valentine’s traditions or crafts do you make sure (or would like to make sure) happen every year? I can’t wait to read what you share!

Happy February everyone! Hope your month is filled with lots of love…and an abundance of chocolate.

5000moms Corporate Alliance- USANA Health Sciences Wins Award Wins Scientific Achievement Award!

Hold the phone everyone…

THIS is one of the many reasons why 5000moms has chosen USANA Health Sciences as the corporate alliance – they have been awarded a 2009 Scientific Achievement Award by Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ). This is just another reasons we can trust their expertise and their knowledge about supplements. Here is an excerpt from the press release itself:

“The science of nutrition and nutritional supplementation is advancing at a rapid pace,” said Dr. Tim Wood, USANA Executive Vice President of Research and Development. “Our understanding of vitamin D and its role in human health, for example, have changed dramatically in just the last few years. In response to these advances, USANA upgrades its formulas continuously to keep them current with the latest research, and to ensure that we provide our customers with the highest quality, science-based products possible.”

Quiet time is life change!

I love hearing back from my readers. These concepts may seem simple but I promise they are life changing! Ganel-lyn Condie

Here is what Ronde (Provo, UT) shared about the power of Quiet Time

“Quiet time is great; it is my favorite time of the day. I am waking up earlier just because I want to commit more time to it. I still have nights when I get woken up more than twice and can’t get back to sleep and quiet time ends up being the ten minutes it takes to pick someone up in the car. I think the important thing is that I am mindful of it and it is one more thing to look forward to.”

Am I Authentic

The word 'authentic' is used quite a bit in reference to food, to clothing and even used about our lives- so what does that word really mean? Are you living an 'authentic life? Soul Essentials Director, Ganel-lyn Condie explores and shares her wisdom and life experiences and creates a simple list that we can examine as we ask ourselves the question- Am I living an authentic life?

"Creating and honoring a place of balance and authenticity in my life is my passion. It may seem like a strange thing to be passionate about but I must confess that when I encounter authentic balanced people I am always inspired. I have learned through Quiet Time and saying no - that I am the only one that can create with God an authentic life experience. Today was one of those days that I felt like everything was working in my favor. I was able to help at my children’s school, finish a project I have worked on for months, meet with a new business associate and call a friend that I was just thinking about. I felt authentic. It is a word we hear a lot but what does it mean; how does it take form in your daily life? The word authentic is defined as not false or copied; genuine; real. We see images of movie stars that are anything but real or genuine."

Testimonial ~ Charlotte

We at 5000moms are so excited about the testimonial we received from one of our team members, Charlotte. We hope you enjoy it and can truly feel of her sincerity and message. We are so grateful to have you be a part of 5000moms Charlotte!

"Before 5000moms, I felt very disorganized, and it was hard getting through my days, without feeling like I had to play "catch up" with everything that I was trying to do. But after completing Ganel-Lyn's Soul Essential Sessions, I felt so happy and excited to learn some simple steps to get balance back into my life.

I learned that I can start my day with a clean slate instead of carrying around baggage with me that doesn't need to be there. I was able to make these specific changes: Making time for 30 minutes of quiet has helped me get through my day so much easier for myself, and for the rest of my family. Sometimes it is hard doing with 3 little kids, but it is so worth it, because they feel the benefits of having a happy mom who has taken some time for herself!

I also love her session on doing "first things first" If I can get the most important things done first, I can have all the extra time to reach my goals that I have, and accomplish projects that I have always wanted to finish, but never had "time" to get them done. These sessions have impacted my life greatly, and I am so thankful to have found these basic principles that I will use for the rest of my life."
