The value of eating fruits and vegetables

I know we’ve all heard it before, but sometimes it’s good to be reminded of what is good for us. The Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture has updated their recommendations of how much fruits and vegetables we should consume per day. Depending on your weight, your caloric requirement and your activity level, it is suggested that we eat anywhere from 5 to 13 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables per day.
